How to create Namecheap account
Below are steps to create your free namecheap account:-
- First you will need to go to namecheap website
- Click on sign up tab from the top-left menu
- Fill out your user name, password, first and last name and lastly, your email
- Click on “create account and continue”
Now your free namecheap account is created successfully. You need it to buy namecheap products. What remains now is purchasing the domain.
How to buy domain on namecheap
Log into your namecheap account and follow the below steps to purchase your domain name:-
1. Find the search bar with a “Beast Mode” phrase on the right. It is from there you will search for the domain of your choice to see if it is available for you to buy, or already registered by another user.
Enter your domain name in the search bar and search. For example “theonlinepursuit.com” or .net or .org whichever extension you wish to register your domain name.
2. After domain name availability check, if it is available you will see its annual price against the “add to cart” option and if it is already registered by another user you will see that it is taken.
3. Click on add to cart to add it to your shopping list
4. Now click on “View Item”, or just go to the cart option to view the items in your cart
5. Click “Checkout” to start the purchase process.
6. Ensure the domain is exactly what you want especially spellings. Click on “Confirm Order”.
7. Fill out your “Account Contact Information” correctly and click “Continue”
Whois Contact Information is by default turned on, leave it as it is. The same applies with Domain Privacy. Click “Continue”
8. Add your Payment Method. I recommend using your card since I personally use that, Click “Continue”
9. Confirm your order details and ensure that all information is correct as desired and pay for your domain.
To this point, you have successfully completed buying your domain.

If by any chance you find that the domain you wish to buy is already registered by another user, there is an option to ask the existing owner of the domain if they are willing to sell it.
However, beware when buying domains from other users as you may not know what business they were engaged in.
You do not want to buy a domain and later on find out that it was blocked from Pinterest or it is already claimed on other important platforms you might need to utilize in your blogging journey.
