Everybody has different motivation and different purpose in the blogging business. Hopefully they will apply to you. Perhaps keep you going through these initial stages of your precious blog if you are just getting started.

Without much talking, let’s get started.

Best Blogging Practices to Stay Motivated

1. Keep focus

There is that one major reason you decided to start blogging. This can be outside of the blogging achievements. As it is the norm, we at some point get forced to do what we despise just to act as a bridge to that dream job we all wish for.

So maybe you admire the life of freedom where you get to travel and work from anywhere with your laptop without having to answer to anyone, or you want to fund your lifestyle and other dreams through your blog or maybe you just want to spend more time with your family and get to enjoy life.

Those are examples of objectives that could lead to you starting a blog. Whichever reason you had when you decided to start your blog, you have to keep reminding yourself of it. Here is a blog post example format simplified for you.

That is why you started your blog and if by any chance you fail, then it all fails. Nobody loves failure. Having in mind that if I write this blog post today takes me a step closer to my success is always enough to keep me motivated to work more on my blog.

2. Reach out to other bloggers

When you start working on your blog, nobody around you will understand your vision. Not unless you are lucky to have friends who blog too.

But the most likely scenario is that you will be the only one who understands the benefits of running the blog and what is in store for you if it becomes a success.

As humans, there are days you will wake up and feel very excited to put in more work on your blog and as life has it, there will be days too when you will feel like it is not working or just start doubting yourself.

Many people quit on their blogs because of this very same reason.

You are working on your blog every day and after a few months the growth is so slow and nobody understands what you are working on to give you that tap on your back and tell you it’s going to work out.

Reaching out to other bloggers can be of so much help to you at this phase as you get to reason with people who understand what you are going through in your new career and most likely they may be able to help you out with whatever problem you are facing with your blog.

Alternatively, you could subscribe to blogging YouTube channels that offer information on blogging startups. These will be of much help as you will be getting to learn from other people experiences in blogging.

These are people who do what you do and have done it for a longer period of time than you.

Just ensure that you are consuming some content from people who do what you do as it sharpens your blogging knowledge as well hence you won’t lose the motivation to keep going.

3. Break down your objective into small tasks

You want to achieve huge success with your blog I understand. Everybody does. But working on your blogging objective with that huge success goal in your mind will demotivate you at some point.

This is because there are so many small things that you need to do in order to achieve your bigger objective. To avoid getting overwhelmed, create a to do list with small tasks.

This could be writing a single blog post every week, creating a pin image for every blog post, allocating time for your blogging activities etc. just practicing the discipline goes a long way in achieving your goals.

If you can be consistent with following your plan and accomplish every task successfully, then you won’t see it as much work. Learn how to avoid writers block.

Procrastination can come in when you have so much in your to do list but with just a few paragraphs per day for your next blog post won’t seem as much work. So just take things slow and get the long term mindset on point.

The problem with many new bloggers is some people want to launch their blog today and create enough content right away and get that traffic just like that. It does not work that way.

Create your plan with small achievable realistic goals and tick them off as you get them accomplished. Seeing that you are getting things done will give you that energy to go on.

4. Celebrate the small wins

We often get caught up on that bigger objective of seeing thousands of visitors per day. And forget to appreciate the first few visitors we get to see on our blog. Learn to enjoy the small achievements and accept that you are getting those few visitors flowing.

It could be you are generating some few affiliate sales too. Celebrating the slow progress goes a long way. Progress is progress when you are growing your blog so just be satisfied and keep putting in the great work. Learn affiliate marketing what is required for beginners.
